Member Types

Agency Member

Any domestic or foreign partnership, corporation, Limited Liability Company, limited partnership, limited liability partnership or other legal business entity organized, existing and in good standing in this state, another state, or foreign country and in good standing and holding a current valid title insurance agency license issued by the Kentucky Department of Insurance. A Title Insurance Agency Member does not include any person whose compensation is paid, in whole or in part, by a Title Insurance Agency. 

Membership Levels for Licensed Title Agent, Title Agencies & Abstractors

Class Level & Agency Type

Class Level 1 - Small Agency

  • Number of Employees: 0 - 10 Company Employees

  • Dues Amount: $450.00

Class Level 2 - Small Mid-Sized Agency

  • Number of Employees: 11-25 Company Employees

  • Dues Amount: $650.00

Class Level 3 - Over 25 Company Employees

  • Number of Employees: Over 25 Company Employees

  • Dues Amount: $850.00

Associate

Associate membership shall be limited to those not qualified for Active membership. Associate membership shall be available to any individual, sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation or other business entity engaged in providing services related to the land title industry as defined by the Board.

Membership for Associate Member

  • Not Primarily in Title Evidencing - $500

Law Firm Member

Any law firm issuing opinions or certifications of title or providing legal services to, for or within the title insurance industry. A Law Firm Member does not include an attorney whose compensation, in whole or in part, is paid by an Underwriter/Title Insurance Company or Title Insurance Agency authorized to transact the business of title insurance in this state.

Membership for Law Firms

  • One Attorney - $450

  • 2-4 Attorneys - $650

  • 5 or more Attorneys - $850

Licensed Title Agent Member

Any resident or non-resident individual in good standing and holding a current valid title insurance agent license issued by the Kentucky Department of Insurance. A Title Insurance Agent Member does not include any person whose compensation is paid by an Underwriter/Title Insurance Company or Title Insurance Agency authorized to transact the business of title insurance in this state

Underwriter/Title Insurance Company Member

Any domestic title guaranty company, domestic title guarantee and trust company, domestic title insurance company and any foreign title insurance company organized and existing under the laws of another state or foreign government which is authorized by the Kentucky Department of Insurance to engage in the business of title insurance.

Underwriter Membership

Level 1

  • Gross Premiums Per Year: More than $5 million

  • Dues Amount: $8,500

Level 2

  • Gross Premiums Per Year: Less than $5 million

  • Dues Amount: $4,500
